Tour Itinerary Day 1 Terracotta Warriors Museum, Ancient City Wall - Be picked up from your hotel at around 09:00. - In the morning, we will leave to visit the Terracotta Warrior Museum, which is the Eighth Wonder of the World and the biggest on-site museum in China with thousands of Terracotta Warriors and Horses made by the Chinese more than 2,000 years ago. You are bound to be impressed by the magnificent formation. - Be dropped off at your hotel at the end of the tour at around 18:00. - In the afternoon, we will spend some time on top of the City Wall which has been protecting Xi’an for more than 600 years. Xi’an’s City Wall is the best preserved and most complete wall, surviving the long history of China. It is about 40 feet tall, 40 to 46 feet wide, and 49 feet thick. The entire circumference is about 45 feet. Enjoy this old, but well preserved wall and its architectural marvel by walking or biking around for one and a half hours. - Be dropped off at your hotel at the end of the tour at around 18:00.
Day 2: Shaanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Bell and Drum Tower Square, Muslim Quarter - Be picked up from your hotel at around 09:00. - In the morning, your guide will accompany you to the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. Gain an overview of thousands of years of glorious Chinese history from the ancient to modern times. - Lunch will be served at a pleasant local restaurant. - In the afternoon, you will drive to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. This is a Tang Dynasty Buddhist temple dating back to 1,300 years ago. Learn some historical facts and listen to your guide’s fascinating stories here. You may also ascend the tower if you choose to do so. - Drive to old Xi’an city downtown after the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where you will see the Bell and Drum Tower Square, and Muslim Quarter. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower are landmarks of Xi’an as they were built in the very center of the city about 600 years ago. The Muslim Quarter is to the north of the Drum Tower, shows a different side of Xi’an, and boasts various vendors of local snacks for you to taste and special souvenirs. - Hotel drop off at the tour end around 18:00.
