Attraction Description:

	Great Wall at Badaling Badaling means "giving access to every direction", the name itself suggests its strategic importance. Badaling Great Wall was the best preserved part of the Ming Great Wall with over 600 years history. Here, The wall was designed to allow five horsemen or ten soldiers to march side by side along the wall. Also, the wall of this section was built of giant rocks and bricks of similar size, therefore, Badaling Great Wall was also regarded the strongest section of the Ming Great Wall.
	The Summer Palace first built in 1750, largely destroyed in the war of 1860 and restored on its original foundations in 1886 - is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value. The SummerPalace in Beijing is an outstanding expression of the creative art of Chinese landscape garden design, incorporating the works of humankind and nature in a harmonious whole.
